Barn-dried / warm-air dried hay
Since 2020, we operate a modern today-drying plant for the manufacture of high-quality Kammerheu, also known as Warmluftheu. This hay is mowed short, before or during flowering, and then with a residual moisture content of 25-35 % within 36 hours with the charging cart put in the drying process. There it is dried in special drying boxes around 96 hours at constant 40 °C evenly – especially gentle and nutrient-holding. The treated hay has then a residual moisture content of below 10% and will be processed using a hydraulic press to square bales. The binding is made with yarn to keep the structure as stable as possible. A special Highlight: in Front of the presses by the hay runs our modern dust extractor, making it mechanically dusted. It makes our Kammerheu particularly suitable for dust-sensitive animals, such as horses with respiratory problems, or young animals.

For more than 30 years, we are building here a high-quality grass mix with a high of Timothy grass (Timothy) and cocksfoot share instructed. In our modern Indoor drying system, it is stacked in the 5-Meter-high bays loose. Over a period of seven days, a special ventilation system which controlled warm air, the water gently. The result is an aromatic, green hay with a residual moisture content of about 10% and the maximum preservation of vitamins and trace elements.

Especially in the case of dairy cows, a stable supply of Vitamin A is crucial for fertility, metabolism, and immune response.
